SMD Solutions is a business based in Salaspils, Latvia, that manufactures wooden pallets and other wood products.

Founded and started as a trading company in 2015, after two years - in 2017 SMD Solutions started its own production site in Salaspils, Latvia.

In spring 2019, we obtained automatic production line, which allowed us to increase
production capacity up to 300%. It helped us, to increase quality of delivered pallets and at the same time safe costs on production, so we were able to offer more competitive prices than before.

 

Despite having automatic production machine, hand work is still needed as we produce some specific pallets with sizes like: 2000x800, 2000x900, 2030x1400, 2030x1600, 2550x1200, 3050x1200, normally we can fulfill all special requirements of our customers. 

 

Special pallets were main reason why we started production in 2017, as we have used to fulfll increasing demand for special pallets. Today 1/3 of our volume are special pallets with non-standard length and construction. Now, SMD Solutions is working with 27 employees, producing wood for packaging, special pallets, two way and one-way pallets.

We use wood from the Baltic states with main supplies from Latvia and Estonia. 40% of the used timber is softwood and 60% is hardwood. Quite a big part of our pallets is made from kiln-dried timber, with a moisture content of 18%.

Our most pallets are sold in Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany. All our customers receive pallets directly from our production site in Salaspils, where we have stock of pallets and wood for our customers.

Our pure delivery time from loading of truck to delivery to the customer is 3-4 days.

At SMD Solutions, we aim to provide efficient and reliable solutions for clients looking to establish their online presence. We also offer a range of wooden pallets and other wood products for various purposes, such as pallets, beams, and delivery services to Europe.
